Riet,

Recommendations
Samen met Min Thu ben ik 10 dagen door Maynmar getrokken en in deze tijd hebben we Mandalay, Bagan en het Inle Lake bezocht.Hij is een fantastisch gezelschhap en heel waardevol geweest voor het zien en begrijpen van dit land. Hij heeft me vele gezichten van het dagelijkse leven laten zien en hij heeft een enorme kennis van zijn land. Maar bovenal is hij gezegend met heel veel humor.

Today i am leaving Myanmar, after almost three weeks here. It was a great travel and i went back home with a lot of very good rememberences. I was very lucky to have known Min Thu and to have spent a few days with him. Min Thu is an excellent guide, he provided me the answers to all my questions, I am traveling in South East Asia since mid-June, and Min Thu was definitely the better guide i met, without him, my travel here in Myanmar would have been empty. Min Thu is a very good person too, very honest(and this is very important and rare now a days)very polite and pleasant. I come back home very satisfied and i have the feeling of having a new friend . Thank you very much Min Thu , my friend for those days, i will not forget you.

Ik ben net 2 dagen terug uit Myanmar en wat een ongelofelijk mooi land is het zeg, daarnaast zijn de mensen allemaal vriendelijk en behulpzaam en spreken ze ook bijna allemaal Engels (een enorme meevaller).
De 2e dag dat we (een vriend en ik) in Yangon waren hebben we gebruikt gemaakt van Min Thu als gids.
Hij heeft ons (op ons verzoek per lokale bus) meegenomen naar de grote liggende buddha, 3 witte olifanten (waarvan er 1 toch echt niet wit was, maar wel als zo gespecificeerd werd), de rustgevende (gratis) tempel daar vlakbij, de fruit en vegetable market en als laatste de Shwedagon pagoda.
Het was het absoluut waard om dit allemaal per gids te doen, niet alleen door alle informatie die je van hem krijgt maar ook doordat je met hem de lokale bussen kunt pakken. Tis een goede gids en ook nog een goed gezelschap. Hij spreek Engels en Frans. We hebben per persoon $10 aan hem betaald. Je kan via hem ook een auto+driver boeken als je wil.
